Annual sponsorship
The Anne Marie Deruyttere Foundation is sponsoring six indigenous people to remotely attend King Carlos III University in Madrid, Spain to earn the Expert Title on Indigenous Peoples, Human Rights and International Cooperation (with emphasis on the risks and challenges generated by COVID-19).

Why indigenous peoples?
Of all the human populations on Mother Earth, the indigenous peoples are the most directly affected by climate change. The developed nations have much to learn about sustainable living from the indigenous communities, but first the leaders must be brought en masse to attend important climate changes meetings, such as the Paris Accords. We will also pay for indigenous peoples to intern for one year with organizations willing to make a difference and take advantage of their unique knowledge about the environment and communal living.

To thank our donors, we will be offering an array of beautiful indigenous attire, arts, and crafts. We will fund micro-enterprises in indigenous communities to guarantee our items are 100% authentic. We will create a market place for indigenous goods that will not disrupt their way of life. One person will be empowered to hire multiple craftspersons and artisans to create unique objects for those who stand with us.
